the Lighthouse, 2011
The Lighthouse begins with the view of the horizon. Our point of view traces the perimenter of a lighthouse and through the film's movements, enter something similar to a trance. The film itself is absent of a physical lighthouse and instead attempts to position the viewer in the central role. The longer one looks out, the more vision becomes blurred and eventually inverts itself inward towards cellular abstraction and into a meditative visual state. The frame dissolves into water and light, eventually pulling itself apart into cellular abstraction. The film is to be thought of sculpturally as it attempts to carve out a physical space. A print has been created to illustrate this idea (below).

The Lighthouse has been shown as a projection and also installed sculpturally as pictured below.
